Ansley Prestyn's Flowers n' Stripes Room:
2 day project
Misty, due in June, asked for a fun room for her 'lil girl! She did not have exact ideas in mind, but had chosen her bedding. After meeting with her in the nursery, I could 'see' the finished product in my head: A wall of mismatched stipes to match the bedskirt, and large graphic flowers and bugs to match the mobile and quilt! Top it all of with a lovely cursive 'n type name over the crib, and Voila! A wonderful nursey is 'born'!
I always sign in a hidden spot!

Day 1: painting stripes...wet paint doesn't photot well..Truuust me! It will look great!!
Here you can see the taping off of the stripes... this took a lot of brain power.... 5 colors, and 7 different thicknesses of stripes were used!
My new fave: Cursive 'n type for Ansley Prestyn!

Coat #1 on the flower and ladybug!
Finished! This mural took me 2 days.
