Camy's Girly Rainbowy Unicorn Room
3 day project
Camy's family moved into a new house, and her mom wanted her to feel welcome in her new home, so she gave me a call to create a sanctuary that any girl woluld just love! Camy, age 5, requested (in one big breath!) a rainbow and a unicorn and flowers and hearts!!! Who was I to say no? Her mom and I came up with a plan to give her what she wanted, but in a soft, cohesive way that wouldn't be too childish. Camy's mom gave me creative license to do what I felt best.
This job was unique in that the homeowner was not moved in yet when I painted.....so she did not get to see the work in progress.....she saw the finished mural for the first time on moving day!!!!
Sprigs of flowers dot the baseboards.
A sweet tree
This rainbow arches over the bed. The bed sits in an alcove, so this makes the odd room shape seem more purposeful.
This is actually the previous homeowner's furniture. Stay tuned for pics of Camy's room all put together! They have to move in first!!!

The unicorn has pearlescent paint on the horn....and glittery eye shadow!
Alone in a room for 3 days.... I find ways to entertain myself! This is my brush painting the rainbow in one stroke!

Each leaf is actually a heart, fading from green to a rainbow color. The leaves are supposed to be cut out of the rainbow!
This mural took 3 days to complete.
I signed in a secret spot....that they haven't found it yet!
