Other Rooms in the House
My creativity is not just limited to children's rooms! From your master or guest room, to bathrooms or the kitchen, we can find a design and style for every room! The options are limitless!
Ohio State 'Man Cave'
Ericka contacted me for a VERY special project: Her husband, stationed in Afganistan, is coming home soon, and she wants to surprise him with a Ohio State themed Man Cave! After chatting and doing a little homework, I met Ericka to see the room. Together we picked paint colors for the room, and came up with the look for the room: Team stripes around the room, an Ohio State logo, and the hand/helmet image from the Rose Bowl. I will post pics of the room all set up, as well as pics of the surprise reveal to the soldier as soon as he gets home!

Here is the main focal wall! This O is about 3 feet tall! LOTS of straight lines on this one = lots of time to paint! Note how the stripe is incorperated right into the logo!

On the secondary wall, I painted this hand and helmet from a Rose Bowl T Shirt! Both images and the stripe are about 4 feet up from the floor, so a couch and dresser will not obstruct the images. I put a lot of thought in the placement and longevity of my murals!

Here you can see how the 2 images relate. This was a 2 day project.

This is the other side of the room. The stripe goes around the entire room. This room was beige and wood trim. Ericka painted it a pale grey, with the team grey as the trim. The doors will painted the team red!

Here is a close-up of the helmet! These are the buck-eye stickers given for good plays during a game. Try painting 25 of the exact same thing....phew!

This was taken on day 1. The first of many layers!

Here you can see the start of the striping.

Another view of the helmet. I signed this one in the glove....I wonder if Ericka has found it yet?
Heather's Powder Room
Heather just moved into a totally remodelled townhome...and though every surface is freshly painted and every fixture replaced, there was something missing....a personal touch! Heather wanted a LOVE qoute....and to jazz it up, we translated it to french! Together we found the perfect quote and a simple yet elegant font. After finishing the room, I still can't speak French....but I can write it!!!! The quote used:
'Trip in love and you can get up. Fall in love and you fall forever.'

Subtle colors to match the granite and hardwood floors.

Painting away!

Note how the word AMOUR is painted in dark brown rather than bronze....a simple detail that makes a big difference!

No, I my handwriting's not that perfect! Here's the font I used.

I love my job!

I kept the colors simple....metallic bronze, espresso brown, and a camel highlight.
This mural took 1 very loooong day!

I purposely varied the placement of the words to add an interesting wave detail to the wall.

Hard to tell, but the bronze paint is metallic....so where the light shines there is a great highlight!

Look closely....I sign all my work....but this one was a challenge because I didn't want it to show...

Gotta smile when your office for the day is the bathroom!

Another great day at 'work'!
